Cawley Center for Translational Cancer Research
Conducting cutting-edge research in solid tumors and population health
The Cawley Center for Translational Cancer Research (CTCR) is a 7,000-square-foot laboratory within the Helen F. Graham Cancer Center and Research Institute, one of only five wet lab spaces in a U.S. community cancer center. Scientists within the CTCR conduct cutting-edge research in solid tumors including breast, ovarian, lung and colon cancer as well as population health.
The center houses a tissue procurement facility, organoid drug screening and histology cores as well as a state-of-the-art flow cytometry facility. It also supports the education of University of Delaware undergraduate and graduate students and trains research fellows and early career physician scientists in translational cancer research.
Through strategic partnerships with academic centers, including a formal partnership with the Wistar institute in Philadelphia, industry and community collaborators, the CTCR is continually advancing its research capabilities and contributing to the development of innovative cancer therapies and prevention strategies.
